Players do not split shooters if their teammates rotate over, bumping from the corner on pick and rolls doesn't work well, etc.. You can create players perform equally but 2K does not have smart enough AI to make it actually resemble NBA basketball.

Interesting games don't simulate the experience, they emulate what it is like. If it was realistic Nobody wants 2K. But they put in myleague and created literally everything tunable down to defensive situations. You could spend hours when the AI is crap, yet it useless. If their aim was to ensure it is not realistic they should take out those settings and make NBA 2K20 better. 2K is much from NBA basketball, it's essentially emulating but some people wish to play NBA games that are legit.
